In the early 50´s, a vibrating soil compactor was introduced to the market. The soil compactor became a great commercial success and production was soaring. In May 1960, the company decided to establish a new factory in Karlskrona, to get enough production capacity to meet the rapidly growing demand for soil compactors. In 1973, the company name was changed to Dynapac AB. Today the Dynapac manufacturing unit in Karlskrona is a global competence center for research and development, manufacturing, marketing and training center for soil and asphalt rollers, serving the world market. On Friday, May 21, 2010 Dynapac Compaction Equipment celebrates 50 successful years in Karlskrona. All Dynapac employees in Karlskrona as well as former employees are invited to the celebrations, which include display of classic Dynapac compaction equipment, speeches, photo galleries and much more. “We are proud of our history and want to take this opportunity to celebrate our legacy of innovation and growth but also the exciting times ahead of us” says Björn Smedberg, General Manager of Dynapac Compaction Equipment AB in Karlskrona. “We are more than ever focussing on innovations and have a number of new products coming out this year and next. It is great to look in the rear mirror on a day like this, knowing that also the future looks brighter than ever”.
