Entering the Scottish market

28 January 2013

Riley Surfacing, a partnership between brothers Hugh and James Riley bought the first new generation Dynapac SD2500 paver to be sold in Scotland. The Dynapac paver will complement Riley surfacing’s fleet of three pavers for work throughout Scotland and the UK.

RILEY SURFACING CARRY out surfacing works from driveways to motorways for some of the UK ‘s largest clients including Cemex, Balfour Beatty and Aggregate Industries. The company, based in Stirling employs twenty four people and is often acknowledged as the most sought after surfacing contractors in Scotland.

Hugh Riley comments on the ergonomic new paver, “Everything’s built in; you can adjust anything from a central point, so it’s very easy to use. We’re very happy with it, it’s working well and we have had good experience with Dynapac machines in the past.” Hugh rates the machine at ten out of ten for efficiency and nine out of ten for being economical.

Mark Black, Business Line Manager at Dynapac says, “We are really pleased to sell our first new generation paver in Scotland and we hope it’s the first of many. With our ever-growing team of service engineers we are able to provide support to customers whatever their size or wherever they are and I look forward to a long working relationship with Riley Surfacing.”

The Dynapac paver combines outstanding paving performance with excellent operator comfort and fuel efficiency. It is part of a renewed focus from Dynapac on the UK market, offering more ergonomic, economical and robust machines for these tougher economic times.
