Procurement of material

A significant part of most machines are built with material and parts purchased from suppliers. Our purchasing organization works hard, not only to find the best parts at the best price but also to secure that our suppliers follow all the rules that the Atlas Copco Group has stated in the Business Code of Practise. Supplier evaluations are done regularly to make sure that suppliers follow the rules.

As a general rule we demand that our main suppliers are ISO 9001 and 14001 certified. Of course we also need to train our purchasers to be up to date in all areas of their responsibility. Continuous follow up is crucial to check that we are ok and to correct possible deviations.
